Ok, for anyone who doesn’t live in or around Olympia, WA, we have quite a few protests and petitions and ‘town meetings’ on just about every issue that comes up. The current issue, the one that I’m mocking here, is…well, you can read about it here. I’m being glib about it, but I draw a comic strip so that’s my job. I’m really pointing out that this issue is turning the neighborhood against itself and from some of the comments people are leaving with the local paper, the rest of Olympia against those living on the west-side. The issue deserves some mocking.
I’m not sure what’s going on, but I’m still sick. The sore throat just won’t go away. Everything else is fine though. I’m feeling relatively perky and I’m back to drawing. This weekend I finished up some pages for a children’s story I’ve been asked to illustrate as well as some other side projects I’ve been ignoring due to being on my deathbed.
In any case, I hope you all survived the weekend and I look forward to entertaining you throughout the week!

Nice backgrounds on this one, and I like how you did panels 2-3.
Thank you! I was debating whether or not to combine the two panels and I think it turned out pretty good just leaving them the with the gutter in place.
I like it as a visual metaphor for the barrier in their communication, e.g. their disagreement on the topic.
