So a couple weeks ago I went to my first Seattle Sounders match. I’ve been to local sporting events before, I’ve even gotten ‘really’ into them. Honestly, the match I attended had nothing on any event I had ever attended before. I had the opportunity to sit in the Emerald City Supporters section and it was…to say the least, quite the experience.
It’s a bit early in the season to be painting and ‘S’ on my chest, but it’s probably on camera somewhere that I wore a shirt, a hat and at certain points (that were expertly choreographed) raised a Sounders scarf into the air and shook it vigorously.
The script I had did not work. At all. And yet I drew it…all the way from pencils to inking. Then erased it and had to start from scratch. If you don’t connect with this comic, that’s the excuse I’m using. But honestly, there is not one person who would have connected with the comic I first attempted.
In any case, I hope you enjoy this strip and come back tomorrow for more!
